We were recently able to move into our 1887 Victorian home but are continuing to work on the original woodwork.
The middle picture shows the beautiful quarter-sawn oak fireplace that was stripped years ago by the previous owner. The entire fireplace was SO dry and have fairly wide cracks in several places.
As you can see from the third picture, the wood looks amazing! My husband used the Howard Feed 'n Wax and was able to "push" the bee wax/orange oil combination into the cracks as well. The end result is a beautiful, well-fed oak with the cracks having pulled together from being fed!! No other products were used.
We are also using the Restor-a-Finish to simply go over the cherry woodwork to remove the years of dirt and bring out the color. We had a few places in our original chestnut flooring that need some TLC. The Neutral Restor-a-Finish took care of that!
If you have questions, contact me. I carry the full line and can't say enough about the wonderful results from using the products.
